Out of this World Papercrafting

Have you seen these?

These are photographs of pieces from the Pulp Fashion Exhibit at the Legion of Honor Fine Arts Museum in San Francisco. These couture designs were created by Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave...and they are made of PAPER! I'm in total awe. Absolutely incredible.
Here are a couple of photos of the artist and her team at work...

A documentary by Eye on the Bay about the artist, her passion and love of manipulating and creating with paper can be found here. There are four parts to the documentary. So far I've only watched the first segment, but I can't wait to watch the rest...and I encourage you to do the same. I guarantee you'll be amazed by this woman and her art.

  1. Small world! I currently have Paper Illusions, a book about her work, checked out from the library! I look forward to watching the documentary. Thanks, Beth!

  2. Oh, my gracious, Bethany! This are amazing! TFS! I bet the up-close-and-personal view is a thousand times better with all those details and whatnot! Totally inspired! Hey, and thanks ever so much for visiting my blog and leaving me a sweet, little comment! It means the world to me!
